Big picture thinker with an eye for detail.

Guided by my curiosity and background in spatial design and semiotic anthropology, I approach problems from a variety of angles and love building digital and physical solutions to complex problems. Collaboration, mentorship, and design education are all central to what I do; I believe that better experiences create a better world, and that collaborating with diverse folks is key so that we can learn from each other.

Currently I'm designing intuitive tools for sustainable natural resource management at Foundry Spatial and exploring UX's role in designing for equity with the McLuhan Centre for Culture and Technology.

I'll be graduating with a Master's of Information from the University of Toronto in May 2021, and I'm looking for full-time product design opportunities.

My Design Principles

Scalable

My previous education in spatial design helps me understand the relationship between design elements. I use this to build products that are responsive and user-friendly, from the design system up.

Inclusive

To design a future for us all, we need to design products for and with all of us. As a visible and invisible minority, I bring my own perspective to my work and advocate for input from diverse sources and people.

Affective

While studying semiotic anthropology, essays about sneaker culture and haute couture taught me branding. I apply my understanding of the power of symbols to create emotive and impactful products.

Fun Facts

I have three adorable adopted cats named Bill Bailey, Alonzo, and Augustus. Their names are from T.S. Eliot’s ‘The Naming of Cats’.

I learned the basics web design by websites for my Neopets. I know, very Y2K.

I love learning languages; growing up in Ottawa I started learning French at 3 years old and in high school I took Japanese classes. I still speak French fluently, my Japanese is rusty.

My (current) top playlists: early morning vibe is Stevie Wonder Radio, design zone is Kora Chill or Music for Plants, and I'm illustration I'm grooving to LÈVRE's Morning Smooch vol 6.
